Do you feel overwhelmed, worried or stuck? Do you feel paralyzed by fear? Do you feel like your life has no meaning? I am here to guide you and help you learn how to manage your anxiety, tolerate uncertainty, overcome fears, and become motivated to establish a strong sense of self and live a more fulfilling life. I strive to create a safe, empathetic and collaborative environment so that my clients can feel heard, valued and understood. I have a warm and personable approach and I use encouragement, creativity and humor during my sessions. My approach is individualized for each client in order to provide the most effective, evidence-based treatment.

I am passionate about working with children, adolescents and young adults. I have experience working with clients from a wide range of socio-economic, religious, and cultural backgrounds.  I also recognize the importance of working with parents and family members in order to maximize treatment outcomes for younger clients.

I have experience treating a variety of conditions including anxiety disorders, OCD, specific phobias, mood disorders, trauma, relationship issues, behavioral issues, low self-esteem, and adjustment to new phases in life. My experience extends to working with adults with autism, ADHD, physical disability or cancer. I am also trained in EMDR and other trauma-based approaches.

In addition to individual psychotherapy, I have also led social skills groups for children challenged with emotional and behavioral regulations, and support groups for children dealing with personal or family cancer diagnosis.

I earned my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

I received additional extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Behavioral Treatment of Selective Mutism, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Positive Psychology.

I like to incorporate CBT, ACT, mindfulness, strength-based, and solution-focused therapy.
