Delaney Chimienti
As a counselor, I prioritize the therapeutic relationship through a strengths-based, holistic approach while implementing trauma-informed and evidence-based treatments. I provide a safe and collaborative environment where humor, creativity, and play are welcome!
I have a passion for working with folks seeking LGBTQIA+ identity-affirming therapy, trauma therapy, and therapy for anxiety management. I have experience working with diverse populations of clients across the lifespan seeking support for issues related to neurodivergence, chronic health conditions, depression, anxiety, self esteem, relational stress, and transitional stages.
I utilize an integrative practice and often implement the following modalities: ACT, DBT, EFT, psychodynamic therapy, attachment therapy, and somatic and mindfulness approaches. I have also received training through the nonprofit organization, Game to Grow, to utilize therapeutically-applied tabletop roleplaying games, like Dungeons and Dragons, in therapeutic settings.
I have strived to be a passionate champion for the healing and empowerment of clients since graduating from Northwestern University with a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling in 2022. In my free time I enjoy reading graphic novels, fantasy books, starting new crafting projects, playing video games, and tabletop roleplaying games. If you believe that we would be a good fit, please reach out to schedule a 15 minute consultation. I would love to connect!
