I come to counseling after nearly two decades of being an educator, helping students and families build success across multiple environments and encouraging healthy family development. Through my experiences, I have come to recognize the impact that feeling stuck, lost, or overwhelmed can have on a person’s overall well-being and felt called to counseling.

Working with clients to build the lives they deem worthy is a privilege and an honor. I believe that each individual is an expert in their own life who deserves to live with dignity and autonomy. I use an integrative approach that is person-centered and trauma-informed. I incorporate techniques to help clients increase mindfulness, decrease negative thinking, and practice making choices from a wise mind perspective. I will work with you to identify your own strengths that you can use to create positive change in your life.

As a Black and biracial woman, I am passionate about issues of systemic oppression and racial stress.  I am a culturally competent counselor who leads with love and believes that wellness is the integration of mind, body, and spirit. My style is direct, empathetic, and non-judgmental. I work with teens and adults across all identities. I specialize in helping those impacted by trauma and seeking a better balance in life. I have worked with clients experiencing complex PTSD, developmental trauma, sexual trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, bipolar disorders, anger management, and intimate partner violence.
