Emma Cheski

As a counselor, I aim to help my clients find greater peace. I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families on a variety of issues, including relationship issues, emotional regulation, anxiety, life transitions, identity issues, trauma, and executive functioning. I have experience working with infidelity, polyamory, the queer community, the kink community, and family systems. I work with couples and families to build communication, resolve conflicts, heal broken trust, manage mental health issues, and more. My clients include people across the lifespan, ranging from adolescents to older adults, individuals with ADHD and autism, and people of a variety of socioeconomic statuses and cultural backgrounds.

I utilize a trauma-informed, culturally curious approach and pull from a variety of theories that allow me to tailor the session to the individual. I utilize EMDR, CBT, attachment theory, integrative sex and relationship counseling, person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, family systems, and strengths-based therapy. I strive to create a warm, comfortable environment where each client can feel open and vulnerable. I aim to collaborate with the client to create a unique healing space. Counseling is not a one-size-fits-all solution; each client will benefit from an individualized approach. I build a relationship with my clients to serve as a foundation for growth and healing.

I earned my master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Seattle University.
