Rubaia Neha, Clinical Intern

Hi! I’m Rubaia (roo-BY-uh), a graduate student in Northwestern University’s Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and a practicum intern at Living Well Psychotherapy Center. I’m passionate about supporting clients of all ages as they navigate life transitions, relationships, identity development, and emotional challenges, with a particular interest in working with children and adolescents.

As a Bangladeshi immigrant who moved to the United States as a teenager, I understand the complexities of navigating multiple cultures, family expectations, and a sense of belonging. I bring this perspective to my work while recognizing that every client has a unique story and experience.

My approach is warm, relational, and culturally responsive. I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and comfortable exploring their experiences at their own pace. With children and adolescents, I meet them where they are developmentally and may incorporate creativity, play, and other forms of self-expression. I also value collaboration with families and caregivers to support meaningful growth and well-being.
