Pamela Finney Swenson

Pamela Finney Swenson has over three decades of experience coaching and directing student athletics programs in multiple sports. In addition, I have experience in operations and investment relations with special projects and businesses. I am a former consultant in business operations, investment, and financial management with a background in management and options trading.

Pamela’s therapeutic approach is to provide counseling and tools that allow clients to address personal life challenges effectively. She utilizes integrative therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and solution-based therapy.

Pamela is deeply committed to her clients, dedicating herself to helping clients build on their existing strengths. She is also passionate about promoting ethical and trustworthy practices and assisting others in developing successful plans of action that encourage the development of and engagement with their goals.

Specialties include:

Child, adolescent, or adult, anxiety, depression, sports performance counseling, career counseling, and life transitions.

Sports performance counseling focuses on helping athletes, coaches, and parents identify, address, and manage the psychological and emotional aspects of sports performance. Counseling may include goal-setting, relaxation training, imagery, and other cognitive-behavioral techniques.

Pamela has an M.Ed in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. She also holds a Master of Athletic Administration (MAA) from Ohio University, Athens, OH, and a Specialized Certificate in College Counseling from the University of San Diego.
