Matthew Schneider, Psy.D

My approach to therapy is grounded, compassionate, and approachable. I strive to create a warm, and safe environment where you can feel comfortable being your authentic self. I believe that you are the person that knows yourself the best, and that you bring unique and deeply meaningful contributions into all of your relationships. Together, we’ll build on your unique strengths to process difficult emotions, past experiences, and life challenges while creating a vision for a hopeful and fulfilling future.

I draw from multiple therapeutic perspectives to better understand and walk with my clients as they integrate their courage, creativity, curiosity, and strengths into their daily lives. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, complex trauma, chronic mental illness, substance abuse, men’s issues, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and relational stress with children, teens, and adults.

In our work together, I’ll welcome you to engage in non-judgmental self-exploration to help uncover new meanings from past experiences and relationships. My goal is to support and empower you as you draw from your emotions, memories, and personal values to create deeper, more enriching relationships with family, friends, colleagues, and yourself.

I earned my undergraduate degree from Roosevelt University and earned my Master and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I look forward to connecting with you!
